Casitas’ Engineering Department is responsible for multiple functions to support all the other District departments, including: the design and construction of capital improvement projects; implementing the Geographic Information System (GIS) program; managing encroachment and environmental permits; providing pipeline locating services as requested through the Underground Service Alert (USA) program; processing new development requests for water service; and serving as a liaison to other agencies to coordinate work.
